Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what FUN ONCHAIN collects, why, and the choices you have.

1. The short version

  • You can browse the Site without an account or a wallet.
  • If you sign up, we store the details you give us so your profile, saved games and points work.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used.
  • We run on our own private server and do not sell your personal information.
  • You can ask to see, fix or delete your data at any time.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account or use signed-in features: your email address, username, display name, password, and any optional profile details such as a bio, avatar emoji or wallet address. We also store the games you save, the submissions you send and your Fun Points activity.

Information collected automatically. When you visit, our servers and analytics tools receive technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that referred you and approximate location (country or city level).

Information we do not collect. We do not ask for your seed phrase or private keys, and we do not take payment card details on the Site.

3. How we use it

  • to create and run your account, including verification and password-reset emails;
  • to provide features such as saved games, submissions, quests, the leaderboard and Fun Points;
  • to keep the Site secure, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms;
  • to understand how the Site is used so we can fix problems and improve it;
  • to answer messages you send us; and
  • to meet our legal obligations.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand which pages and features people use. It sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it on our behalf. Google Analytics 4 is designed not to log or store full IP addresses.

We use this data in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not use advertising features or share your account details with Google. You can learn how Google handles data at Google's partner-sites page and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

6. Cookies and local storage

We keep this to the minimum:

  • Sign-in data. When you log in, your browser stores access tokens in local storage so you stay signed in. They are removed when you log out. These are essential for signed-in features.
  • Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart and count them.

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, and blocking analytics cookies will not stop you using the Site.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site, such as Google (analytics) and the email service we use to send account emails, who may only use it to provide their service to us;
  • Authorities or advisers when we are legally required to, or to protect the rights, safety and security of the Site and its users; and
  • A successor if the project is transferred, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

Some of your profile information is public by design: your display name, avatar and leaderboard position can be seen by other visitors. Your email address is never shown publicly.

8. Where your data is stored

The Site and our database are hosted on our own private server, not on a shared social or advertising platform. Analytics data handled by Google may be processed in other countries, including outside your own. When data moves across borders we take steps to protect it as required by applicable law.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must keep some of it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or prevent abuse.

Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics settings, and server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

10. Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), protected password storage and limited access to our systems. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us straight away if you suspect a problem.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information or close your account;
  • object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent where we rely on it;
  • receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and
  • complain to your local data protection authority.

You can edit most of your details in your account settings. For anything else, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

12. Children

The Site is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, tell you on the Site or by email.
